Some of the best short walks in the country can be found within a few hours’ drive of your Greymouth holiday park accommodation. Whether you like relaxing walks along lake shores and beaches or intense mountain hiking there is something for you in Greymouth. Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park is situated close to many national parks there is a wide variety of mapped walks for you to enjoy.

Truman Track:
Rated one of the top 10 short walks in New Zealand and only 30 minutes drive north from Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park . The Truman Track takes you through the sub tropical rainforest to some of the most incredible coastal exploring you can imagine. This track is an absolute must.
Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowhole Walk:
The Punakaiki Pancake Rocks & Blowhole Walk is in the village of Punakaiki, just 30 minutes drive north of Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park . This walk takes you around the remarkable limestone formation of the Pancake rocks. This track is one of the only wheelchair accessible walkways in the region and provides some lovely coastal views.
Woods Creek Track:
The Woods Creek Track is just past the historic village of Shantytown and is a 45 minute walk into West Coast mining history. The track passes through old gold workings, past tailraces, tunnels and dams. Make sure you take a torch!
Point Elizabeth:
Find the Point Elizabeth Walk along State Highway 6 north of your Greymouth accommodation at Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park . Start at Rapahoe, walk through the bush to the Point and, depending on the tides, use an access ladder to the beach and return via the beach track.
Grey River Flood Wall:
Take a stroll along the flood wall; there is a variety of walking options from half an hour to three hour walks. Walk around the fishing harbour, the lagoon or river mouth.
Nelson Creek:
Travel north on State Highway 7 from Greymouth Seaside TOP 10 Holiday Park to reach the Nelson Creek walks – a variety of short walks. All the walks start from the recreation area and cross the swing bridge. You’ll find a good water hole for swimming and also great pottery in this area.
